My Fitness Log

From my data I can see that I am improving a lot and that I've been running for a longer and longer duration.
My fitness goal is to run 13 laps till the end of term 4.

My Beautiful Place

Far beyond the edge of the world is my beautiful place. I can see an orange delicate creature in this world called Trigger Happy and an endless realm of islands known as Skylands. I can also see a mysterious magical voodoo man in his lair using spellbinding spells of magic and a rock solid purple dragon.

I can taste fluffy fur from the orange creature in my mouth and the oozing liquid mud. The grass tastes like metal. I can also taste misty air.

Also I can hear the dragon’s red hot fire. I can hear blasts banging like bombs falling and something extremely fast you can’t see it running - stomping loudly. I can hear booming and blowing rapidly.

The ground feels like a silky pup’s fur and the orange monster feels like a velvet kitten being stroked.The dragon feels like delicate rock that is easy to break breathing slowly and the dark blue lizard feels like your skin when breathing.

Last of all, I can smell burnt crispy smoke from the fiery friendly dragon and a mysterious mystical magic smell from the voodoo man named Voodood (silent d). Also I can smell a muddy lizard and the mist from the misty air.

Are you aware that Ireland is famous for their four leaf clovers? Also their capital is Dublin.

Did you know that Ireland is famous for their “Queen Of Pudding” recipe? Ireland also has pancake festivals.Have you known that Ireland grow lots of potatoes

Have you heard of Brian O’Driscoll the Ireland legend? He is famous because he is the captain of Ireland and he has scored the most test point trys than any other player in Ireland. Do you know Ronan O’Gara? He is famous because he plays for Ireland in rugby and he has the most tries in the international matches.

Are you aware that Ireland celebrates St. Patricks day? People dress up as leprechauns. Also Irish like Irish dancing and shopping for the pot of golden nuggets.

Did you know that each leaf of the four leaf clover means hope,love,faith and luck.

Using Google Maps

This is a map showing all the stadiums showing games in the RWC 2011. I had to search for each stadium one by one and place pins on the map using google maps.

Describing Piri-Weepu

It was windy as I looked out from the stadium to see Piri Weepu leading the haka like a Maori chief proudly. Mr Weepu is like an elite soldier in the war with an army called the All Blacks. He is yelling like a rooster, mad at another, ferociously shouting “Ka Mate!” He is stomping like a man going to the war for his family such as his daughter . He was born to be an All Black with his handsome looks.

Getting the ball passed to him, zooming like a cheetah as fast as the wind. Piri is fending a player with might...
Bam! He gets a try with bravery, representing New Zealand. Piri is proud to be an All Black wearing the #9 jersey once again.

He is non-stop again as he intercepts the ball and starts racing like a race horse. He’s as solid as a rhino evading aggressively, bulldozing all the people in his way. He is like an uncontrollable bull running loose. The almighty superhero gets another try without getting touched.

It looks like the other team is jealous of Piri Weepu’s muscles as he keeps on scoring tries like John Kirwan in the 1889 Web Ellis Cup.
Mr Piri is unstoppable. As Dan Carter passes the ball to Piri and he dives just on the half time buzzer and gets a try.

Thirty-nil is the score. No one can beat the All Blacks because of Piri Weepu’s greatness.

The Invention Key

I used the Invention Key to invent a rugby ball that could be used in the grand final of the Rugby World Cup. Here is my design. I hope you like it.

Buddy Writing - Welcoming Tonga

When I opened the car door I was crowded and pedestrians were singing with harmony. People were chanting in unison and they were screaming “Tonga!” Girls were hugging news reporters because they were so excited about the arrival of their team.

News reporters were crowded by Tongans and Kiwis dressed head to toe in red and white showing their support for their country. I finally got out of the car as the people surged forward like a wave sprinting down. I could hear an awesome Tongan haka tau and people were yelling so loudly it was like every single famous person had arrived.

I could see cars decorated with waving flags blowing in the wind. The chanting was louder than the airplane engines. Then the Tongan rugby team came out surprised and did a haka. I saw cameras and phones flashing rapidly. The Tongan rugby team emerged proudly from behind the arrivals gate and felt supported like they were going to win the world cup!
